The New Media Art Research Association is a non-profit interdisciplinary research organization founded in 2010, which originated from the Media Art Lab, established in 1998, at the Seocho Software Support Center in 1998. It consists of media art artists who contemplate the present of new media art and Art & Science integration experts. They aim to build an ecosystem by exploring new forms of art.

Platform-L Contemporary Art Center opened to the public in May 2016 establishing itself as a locus for diverse and noteworthy creative perspectives which connect contemporary artists to audiences in Korea and beyond. Creators in visual art, performance and film cultivate an ongoing cultural dialogue with visitors to Platform-L’s spaces and work to diminish the cultural distance between audiences while fostering a wider appreciation for contemporary art. Thus, Platform-L aims to operate as a platform for cooperation and exchanges for artists and institutions that becomes a space for learning and exploration open to those create art and those who enjoy it. Platform-L is run by Taejin Culture Foundation, established by Taejin International and its global fashion brand Louis Quatorze, who has been supporting numerous art and cultural activities over the last few decades.

The Institute for Culture and Arts established within Seoul National University aims to embrace contemporary culture combined with technology, pondering the conditions of life in the age of transcendent technology. It seeks to present a post-cultural ecosystem through the expansion of artistic genres, exploration of cultural themes, and inclusivity of non-mainstream perspectives. It also envisions a global network where creators are interconnected

The AI Art Research Center is an innovative research institution newly selected in 2023 as part of the Ministry of Science and ICT's Leading Research Center initiative. Our center aims to go beyond AI that generates text-based information, developing a platform for artistic creation that encompasses various senses such as images, audio, and sculpture through human-AI interaction. To achieve this, we actively promote research in multimodal AI, materials and robotics, innovative forms of creative arts, and human-centered interaction. Through this research, we aim to blur the boundaries between art and technology and open new horizons in creativity. Multimodal AI technology helps create richer and more complex artworks by combining different types of data, while materials and robotics research enables new forms of artistic expression. Additionally, human-centered interaction research allows for a richer reflection of human intuition and emotion in the artistic creation process. The AI Art Research Center seeks to explore new possibilities at the intersection of art and technology and lead innovation in creation. Through this, we aim to provide a comprehensive creative environment that encompasses not only technological advances but also artistic value and human sensitivity.
